Membership levels

The following guide aims to provide a summary of the levels of membership to access The Collaborative Library. All users must be registered to use the website. Registration for all users is and will remain completely FREE and can include users from anywhere in the world.

STANDARD USERS

Standard user membership is for anyone who is interested in viewing scientific lay summaries on The Collaborative Library website. Once registered, they can log in and set up a profile page. Standard users can contact professional contributor users outside of the website if they want to collaborate to create lay summaries, which can only be uploaded by professional contributor users.

Non-professional contributor users

Non-professional contributor user membership is for people that form part of (or are affiliated with) a participating organisation (e.g., university, healthcare trust, charity or industry) that has signed a service contract with The Collaborative Library (e.g., students, interns, research assistants, assistant clinical roles). Once registered, they can log in, complete a profile page, view and request a review of other’s lay summaries. They can also upload their own lay summaries for review by professional contributor users. A non-professional contributor user can upgrade their membership to professional contributor user status via their membership dashboard once they begin a professional role within (or affiliated with) a participating organisation.

Professional contributor users
